Location w.r.t. Ty Nant
For the mountain biker the centre and all the trails including the new ones are on the same side of the A470 excepted the old Red Bull route which has been modified and renamed "Tarw" which of course is Welsh for Bull. Many of the locals are Welsh speaking but fortunately for us Saesnegs will happily converse in English as well.

Start of Yr Afon trail

Yr Afon is suitable for families or accompanied children, is about 5 miles long on wide tracks either level or with gentle(ish) gradients. While the best riders could tear round in half an hour they leave this for the families who take a more leisurely 2-3 hrs stopping off to view the waterfalls and river Mawddach.
